Mirror mirror off the wall… part 20… animals… or maybe aliens???

Okay, obviously that is just a horse with a really fat head and neck, and a cool hairdo.

The thing about these mirror image things is that with faces, which are more or less symmetrical, you have to find photos where the head is turned to one side.

This handsome fellow’s face wasn’t turned enough, so I did what I could.

You know, like I do.

Mirror mirror off the wall… part 19… animals… or maybe aliens???

Things you should never ever do on a jet ski…

Do not lay face down and do a one-handed push up on a jet ski. I don’t care how manly it makes you look.

Don’t put you face on the handlebars. If you hit a wave, you will knock your own teeth out. Also, it makes you look like you are kissing a machine, which is just weird.

Okay, maybe it doesn’t even make you look that cool to lay down on the seat anyway.

Don’t pull your legs up onto the seat…

Not even if you are going to do this…

Only a true master should ever meditate on a jet ski.

Never try to look like you are going faster than you really are. That is just lame.

And do not get to comfortable and cocky. That is asking for trouble. I don’t care how adorable you look doing it.

It is okay to stretch your legs…

Because you will get carried away and do something silly.

And you will end up looking like a dying cockroach and maybe slam into a boat.

And one again, this does not really make you look all that cool.

It is acceptable to pretend you are an explorer scanning the horizon, as long as you are careful.

It is okay to look supremely happy.

And it is okay to look awesomely cool and handsome while zooming around jumping over boat wakes and acting like a maniac.

Climate science without the science, for, you know, people who don’t believe in science… (or); Billy Bob explains global warming…

Okay, so you don’t trust science or scientists, but you do trust mechanics. So I will Let Billy Bob explain it. Take it away, Billy Bob!

Well, we all know science goes against the bible. And those white coats and fancy book learning and shiny ‘instruments’ are just creepy and wrong. But I hate to tell you this, folks. Most ‘climate science’ ain’t really science at all. It is just machines, and we all know machines is real, cause we drive around in them.

So, you know how when the gov’ment forces you to get your car smogged? They hook up a machine to your tailpipe, and they can see how much ‘pollution’ is pumping out.

Seems like they have machines like that to check all kinds of ’emissions’. They know how much bad stuff is being pumped out of your car, but they also know how much bad stuff is being pumped out of factories and cow asses.

Now, I ain’t no rocket science, but the bad stuff being pumped out is the same stuff that is causing the world to heat up. Ain’t no gettin’ around that. It ain’t science, it’s mechanics.

Also, and I hate to admit this, but just because it snows somewhere on the planet, that don’t mean that climate change is fake. If your house is on fire, it might still be cold in your freezer, but that ain’t gonna help you much when you house is gone, and the freezer along with it.

So we are messin’ up the only planet we have to live on, and I got 15 kids who are gonna want to drink water and breath air, and the same with all the young’uns they pop out.

Let’s get it together, ya’ll.

So who was having the most fun?

Was it my daughter Mollie and her boyfriend?

Nope!

Was it my older daughter Jessica and her husband?

Get real!

I mean, yeah, Mollie looks pretty happy.

Hey, anybody can look happy.

That doesn’t mean anything.

Not that it was a contest or anything.

But if it had been..

There would only be one winner.

And if you had to pick that winner…

The choice would be pretty simple.

No choice at all, really.

We all had fun…

But I had the most.

Yup!

San Diego from sea level… or bay level…

Downtown San Diego, as seen from the water.

Not too shabby on a sunny day.

Quiet and peaceful, even.

The giant statue of that famous kiss at the end of WW2. My daughters say it is a symbol of oppression, that the nurse didn’t give the sailor permission to kiss her. I will sneak down tonight and tear it down.

The Coronado Bridge, from a unique perspective.

That leads to the famous Coronado Hotel, of which I have posted.

The 32nd Street Naval Base. I was stationed there when I was in the Navy, back when I was just 17.

It really was a beautiful, sunny day.

The convention center, where I went to Comic Con, and saw many famous people, and you should go back and look at those posts. Steven Spielberg looked right at me. I have a picture.

Another view of the convention center.

Mollie finally let her boyfriend drive the jet ski.

We had so much fun.

A selfie of me, looking for more perfect photo ops.

Dear Mike Pence, you walking pile of religious hypocrisy…

Next time you are telling ‘Mother’ how you are so proud of yourself for avoiding the temptation of being alone with women, ask her how she feels about you being glued at the hip to a morally bankrupt, lying, cheating, fornicating, racist.

Just a thought.

Feeble Fables; The Emperor’s New Wall…

Once there was a great and powerful emperor who was, truth be told, a pompous lying twaddler. He called for all the greatest craftsmen in the land to come and build him the greatest, bestest wall ever.

Many labored to impress the emperor, but at last, one crafty craftsman convinced the ruler that he could build a wall that would put the Great Wall of China to shame.

Money was raised, by taxing the people, and stealing funds from the army and many important services for the people. The emperor was told that the wall was coming along nicely.

The regal reject decided to go and look at his wall. He loved his wall. He decided to overlook the fact that the wall was falling apart already, and that most of the ‘miles and miles’ of wall that he was told had been built really just consisted of parts of the old wall that had been patched up.

The mangy monarch’s toadies praised the wall and the emperor. They said it was the best wall ever.

But one brave little girl named Nancy spoke out. “Your wall is useless, and is draining our coffers for no good reason, and on top of that, some of your evil henchmen have been pocketing the money for themselves”.

I would love to tell you that this simple truth opened the peoples’ eyes, an that they deposed the emperor of empty promises, but really, half the people, blinded by the magnificent orange glow of their chosen one, refused to see the wall for what it was and continued to heap praises on both the wall and the royal rat.

I am sure there is an important moral in here somewhere. If you know what it is, please tell me.

Boats…

I love boats…

All sizes and kinds of boats…

We got to see a lot of boats as we headed out on our jet ski adventure in San Diego Bay.

That is a working aircraft carrier.

That is the USS Midway, a WW2 era carrier that is now a museum.

I worked on the volunteer crew that refurbished it.

Some day I will go down there, do the tour, and show you what I did. Or maybe I already did that on the blog somewhere.

It has historic planes on the flight deck.

And it is docked right by down town San Diego.

Heading back in after our adventure. Pay no attention to the handsome man. This post is all about boats.

Look at all those boats.

Did I mention that I like boats?
