We need a woman on our money! It is way past time. I watched the train wreck… sorry… the republican debates… and my favorite part was when they asked the candidates which woman they would like to see grace our oh-so-strong-and-stable-currency.
Here are a few of my ideas… in the form of a series of posts… that I hope will not offend anybody… or at least too many of you;

Okay, for those of you who don’t remember the whole story, here it is;
My new book… (Walking Around, book 3 of ‘The Otherwhere Chronicles’… available right over there to the right in the sidebar if you click the picture of the book)… has an alien in it that learned to speak English by watching reruns of Monty Python’s Flying Circus and basically can only speak in lines from their famous comedy skits… and the scene is funny and moving… especially when the hero of my books realizes that the alien is one of the last of a dying race when he starts quoting the famous ‘dead parrot sketch’…
So, I needed permission to use a bunch of those lines in the book…
And I tweeted Mr. Eric Idle to see if he could help… (Ironically, I only started using Twitter to stalk celebrities to get them to reply to me so my older daughter… the very one who helps me submit my novels, because I am a computer moron… will think I am cool… remind me to do another post soon about all the famous people I pestered until they said something to me on Twitter)…
And he connected me to a lovely young lady… who happens to be Terry Gilliam’s daughter… and is also the publicist for Monty Python Pictures limited…
And she gave me official permission to use the quotes for free with the option that when they make the books into movies… (with, obviously, Brad Pitt playing the lead hero role, because I am the hero… well, me in another dimension anyway, so who better?)… or if I make the best seller list, to renegotiate with me to get royalties…
And I thanked Mr. Idle by doing a bunch of silly Photoshop pictures of him, and tweeting them and putting them on this blog… which I guess he liked, because he is now following me on Twitter…
And he asked me… you know, when were chatting on Twitter… like we do… to let him know when the book was done…
And I did…
And he retweeted it…
And I have gotten a lot of attention on Twitter, because he is a phenomenon… and a really nice guy.

I want to thank my friend, Al, over at; ‘A Mixed Bag’… AKA; http://kattermonran.com/ for sending me a really awesome, really big photo of some bubbles. If you look closely… which I guess you can’t really do since I bump down the size of all the photos I put on the blog… you can see buildings reflected in the bubbles.
I am sorry I took so long to do this thank you post. I can’t even remember what I did to win this photo… a contest of some sort… but he sent me the photo, rolled up in a tube, all the way from Dover, Kent, UK.

So I added this little wizardess to my children’s book, and now I am working on a side view of her… and her smile is driving me crazy… and not in a creepy way… but not in a good way either…
I tried an open mouth version.
And I tried a closed mouth version.
I played around with it for more than an hour, and decided to go with this one.
Another finished page… well, except for the text… from my new kid’s book. I am glad I have been able to recycle some of my old watercolor paintings for backgrounds.
Yes, I am still cutting up the original comic strip that I drew when I was a teenager, and then cleaning them up…
And let me tell you, cleaning this little guy up wasn’t easy…
First of all, he was drawn small… like two-inches tall… and on lined paper. He was never meant to be in the original comic. He is just some little character idea I drew, and I figured I would throw him in to the story. I like his fancy curly shoes.
Yes, it’s true, the third book in my action/humor science fiction series; ‘The Otherwhere Chronicles’, titled; ‘Walking Around’… (don’t worry, it is more exciting and amusing than the name might imply. Our hero, who happens to be me, but in another dimension that is chock full of aliens, is still reeling from going from being a janitor in a Texas-style bar on an alien space station to being the CEO of the biggest human/alien intergalactic corporation of all times… oh, and the reluctant hero to all sentient beings in that universe after saving the space station from space pirates and saving San Francisco from being blown up …. but, because, you know, he is me, he is still sarcastic and lazy and doesn’t like responsibility, so he leaves his friends in charge of the business and takes a walkabout around the outer rim of that huge space station, meeting all kinds of incredible aliens… and then ends up being chased by assassins from another dimension who want to kill him because he has been interfering with the plans of an evil overlord from another dimension who wants to invade his dimension… did you get all that?)
You can now click on the picture of the book… no… not the one in this post… the one in my sidebar… over there… on the right… and it will take you, through the magic of a link of some sort, to the place where, for a very small amount of money, they will print you a hot, fresh copy of that book, and send it right to your house. These books are printed on actual paper… made from actual dead trees… that were stalked through the forest by professionally trained tree hunters, and brought down with huge vicious axes.

Okay, this one isn’t really a picture that follows the ‘follow me’ theme of the other two pictures in this series, but come up with a clever caption just to impress us anyway…
Okay, so maybe this isn’t so much a caption contest to give you the opportunity to show how clever you are by amazing us with clever names for my Photoshop art as it is a chance for me to go through all my old posts and show how clever I am by seeing how many clever ways I can reuse my old pictures as I sort them… but why not just play along and see what you can come up with?
I mean, what other possible reason could there be to subject yourself to that?
