Just random pictures I took this week… or last week. I saw the same scruffy grey hawk three days in a row.

That is not a usual thing.

And I don’t know what kind of hawk it is. A young Ferruginous Hawk?

I like hawks.

There are three dogs and a cat sleeping in that photo. This is also not a usual thing.

The same cat. She was sleeping with her face resting in a scented candle, until I tried to take a picture.

A full moon and some clouds.

Another daughter through college… sort of…

This is why we fixed up the yard. Mollie graduated with her degree in nursing studies with a focus on disabilities.

So proud… now we just need to pay for med school… sigh.

My daughters are way smarter than I am.

Life could be worse.

Two thumbs up, little Mollusk!!!

Just a beach…

Just a beach, in Southern California. Backlit waves curling in the sun.

The Pacific Ocean, looking both warm and inviting, and yet still awesomely powerful.

Foam glistening and writing in the light.

A setting as calm as a formal garden, and as wild as a jungle.

La Jolla in the distance.

There were people there, enjoying the late afternoon.

Mollie and her boyfriend Ben were there.

That cool bird was there. Is that a Lesser Egret?

The moon was there.

But mostly, the ocean was there.

And the endless rhythm of the waves.
