Okay… I swear… that’s the last one… with sloths in it…

Other useless things Trump could have thrown at the people of Puerto Rico… part 3…

Televisions. You know… so the people can watch what a great job FEMA and the President are doing.

Yes, I know most of them don’t have electricity still, but I am sure they will soon… right after they finally get some water… and some food… and some shelter.

Bowling balls… because, obviously, after a tough day of drying off an entire island with paper towels, a person has to do something fun to lift their spirits.

Golf trophies. I know, he did dedicate a golf trophy to them, but that doesn’t have the same level of personal satisfaction that this would have given the president.

A puppy in a tutu, a setting sun, a setting moon, and a rising sun… (the end of my latest journey to the Bay Area)…

a 1

Okay, it isn’t really a tutu, it’s a… well, I don’t know what it was… or what it was for… but it was fake fur wrapped around an elastic band forming a circle… and it looked pretty funny on the dog.

a 2

Yes, I do know the name of the dog, a little chocolate lab. His name is Dutch. He belongs to my good friend Chris, whom I went to visit the day before I left the Bay Area to come back to San Diego. Chris and his family moved into the neighborhood where my mom still lives, when Chris was 7-years-old. I guess I was 7 too.

a 3

Puppies!

a 4

It took Dutch a while…

a 5

But he finally got out of his embarrassing Halloween costume.

a 6

And then he took a nap. He looks a lot more ‘chocolate’ on the wooden floor.

a 7

One last sunset from my mom’s backyard. That mountain is Mount Tamalpais. Yes, the one I ended up getting detoured to the top of on my three-bridge adventure.

a 8

I did my patented ‘leaving at four in the morning so I can miss the bad traffic in the Bay Area, Los Angeles, and San Diego thing’. I stopped and put the zoom lens on to take a photo of the moon.

a 9

And I got a few pictures of the rising sun in the California Central Valley too.

a 10

Yes, I took them while I was driving.

a 11

But I kept one hand on the wheel and both eyes on the road.

A three bridge adventure… the final chapter… (full circle)…

a 1

Okay, I skipped ahead just a little. I took that photo back on Treasure Island in the middle of San Francisco Bay. But I do like to have a good photo show up on the topic pages.

a 2

Technically speaking, I left off on the last post with me still driving through San Francisco, heading for the Oakland Bay Bridge, the third bridge of my driving adventure around the bay Area.

a 3

There is something a little weird about these three pictures of the city.

a 4

All the buildings have a greenish tint. I don’t know if that is because of some reflective coating on the glass windows, or some bizarre atmospheric condition, but it was very noticeable.

a 5

And then I was back on Treasure Island for the second time on this visit to the Bay Area. There is Alcatraz, looking almost like a ship.

a 6

And there is Mount Tamalpais on the right of that photo. You might remember that I got detoured up that mountain from the coast highway on the other side, and took some nice pictures from the top.

a 7

I had a nice time on that adventure. It took me ten hours, but I got kissed by a horse, saw the redwoods, the coast, birds, three bridges and some good friends.

a 9

I think I only have a couple more posts worth of photos from my recent trip to my mom’s house in the Bay Area… and then we can get back to doing… whatever it is I do around here.
