Pouring My Art Out

The republicans are doing all they can to turn a group of refugees fleeing terrible conditions into some sort of invasion. They do know that the only way that a person can seek political asylum in this country is by turning themselves in at the border, right? You can’t do it at an American embassy. The vast majority of these migrants are doing it the way we ask people to do it under the law. It isn’t a horde of Visigoths coming to sack Rome. It is a bunch of people living without much hope, and the little hope there is comes from what America used to stand for.
