Oh yeah… if you look at that long enough, you might actually become me. HA!

Oh yeah… if you look at that long enough, you might actually become me. HA!

And you just know there are going to be more versions of this picture showing up… right?

Now that is a lot of shades!!!

Ha! That’s an artsy one. That is taken through the leaves of that old plum tree on the top level of my mom’s backyard.

You can see little wisps of fog creeping in over the bay, the same fog that was coming in under the Golden Gate when I was meeting those dogs.

Redwood trees and some distant Eucalyptus… Eucalypti?

The flowers blooming on a tree in the dying light of the setting sun.

I still love the yard at my mom’s house… so many good childhood memories.

mmmm… colors…

The fog is getting thicker.

Can you see the roses in the foreground?

Even more fog.

When I got to the Bay Area yesterday afternoon, there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. This morning, there wasn’t a sky in the clouds… or fog… HA!

I told you I met some cool dogs yesterday, and I said I would have some pictures.

That is a dog getting ready to chase a ball.

That is a dog who has a purpose.

I love going down to the bay, taking pictures of San Francisco and the Golden Gate bridge, but I love this place most of all because of all the dogs. Especially when my dog is 500 miles away.

Plus, taking pictures of running dogs is a fun challenge.

Okay, that isn’t perfect, but I sort of like it anyway.

But they can’t all be perfect, can they?

I petted that dog too. She is deaf and moves slowly, but is very sweet.

Okey dokey, back in a bit.
… that there is always a thing. Life is things, and things are life. I mean, when you get right down to it, everything is a thing, so every thing is a thing. Well, we aren’t supposed to call living things things, not unless we mean all of them, which is ironic. You can’t call a person a thing, even though they are a living thing, right? Not even if you have a thing for them… or with them. Hey, it’s your thing, do what you want to do. Thing one or thing two, or maybe both things together, that would be something. So get your thing together… get all your things in order, take care of things, because things can’t take care of themselves, even though, supposedly, sometimes things will all work out. Things can be bad, but things might be getting better. Things keep happening, and would you really want it any other way? Because there is nothing sadder than nothing happening. That literally means that no thing is happening. That is a scary thing to think about.

I took a nap… remember, I got up at three this morning to get those sunrise photos in the last post… and went down to one of my favorite spots by the bay… yes, the one will all the dogs.

I like that picture. If you look closely, you can see heat wave shimmers on the Transamerica building. Yes, it is that hot here.

But, yet again, the fog was squeezing in to the mouth of the bay.

So who knows what the weather will be like tomorrow.

And would it really be San Francisco without the fog?

I don’t think so.

Of course I met some dogs… I petted all those dogs, and some more besides. Yes, there will be a few more photos of dogs in the next post. I am the guy who broke the record for most dogs petted in one day by a person not associated with a dog show, remember? You don’t? Well, that is what the search bar is for. Go ahead, we will wait. It is worth looking up the old post of that.

Whoops… gotta go… the sunset from my mom’s deck is awesome!
