So, let’s see. Art in general is a media, right? And glass blowing, the manner in which I made this paperweight in the first place, is a specific sub-genre of art in general. Taking the super-close-up-macro-zoom photo, well, photography is a media. And then I did the double mirror image thing in Photoshop, and digital art is a media. And I used another program altogether to make the moving water reflection thing happen. And now, I am posting it on my blog, and blogging is a media. I am also typing words, which is a media.
So, that would be… uh… a whole lot of medias.
And wouldn’t multi medias be medii???

“How the heck did you do that???”, I hear you asking in astonishment. Well, let me tell you.

These are all double mirror images… by which I mean I did the mirror image thing twice on each photo…

And the photos are all the same picture I took when I was playing around with the macro lenses and doing super close up photography…

… of that paper weight that was the first project I did in my glass blowing class, lit up from below with colored LED lights, in a dark kitchen.

That right there is the original photo before the mirror image magic.

Oh yeah, now that would be a real start towards making America great again!

I love that a simple mirror image effect can make things look like works of art.

Not that a mountain isn’t already a work of art.

It just changes the way you look at things.

Figuring out where to place the cut in order to copy and flip part of the picture over makes me pay more attention to what is in the photo.

It makes me not only look more closely at the whole image, but at the individual parts as well.

It is always good to be reminded that looking at something is not the same as seeing it.

A mirror image effect on Half Dome in Yosemite, California.

So… uh… I guess that would be called Full Dome???

Now, if I move the split-line for the mirror effect over just a little, you get something completely different.

But I think I like the up-and-down split even more.

Wow. Number 50 of this weird mirror image series.

This might be a record. Usually the crack squirrels living in my head get board and veer off long before this.

But this will be the very last one…

Of the famous faces part…

Of this series…

HA!

Just another evening at my new job in San Diego.

I don’t know if smoking weed would help tRump make America great, but it might make him a little less annoying. I mean him smoking some. Maybe it would help him to relax. It is worth a shot. I know a lot of other people are smoking it to make him a little less annoying.
