I mean, even people who refuse to believe that we are warming up the planet with our pollution and think that science is a hoax still understand that pollution is a bad thing, right? Yes, it might be good for some businesses in the short term, like coal companies saving money by being allowed to dump coal sludge directly into rivers and streams, but we all remember Flint, Michigan. Surely this is short-sighted at the the very least.
Do the republicans really want total deregulation? Have they seen pictures of the smog in China? Do they know about the huge raft of plastic floating in the middle of the ocean? Do they want their children to be able to go outside without oxygen tanks or drink water that you can actually see through? It seems like they are so caught up in their little victories that they are missing the big picture… on so many levels.
