Cable cars and Victorian houses, two things that you almost have to associate with San Francisco.
Now I sort of want to do some mirror imaging of just Victorian houses… but I won’t.
I mean, not on purpose.
But they have all those cool embellishments. My kids always called them ‘gingerbread houses’.
There is a place or two in the city where the cable cars need to be turned around at the end of a dead end street. These, in America, are what we call roundabouts. That is not what the English mean by roundabout. But they don’t have cable cars.
The cable car crews turn them around by hand, on a big, rotating wooden platform.
I knew the brickwork around the roundabout would look good in a double mirror image.
That one might be a metaphor for something…. hmmmm……..
