Apparently, sometime during the dark ages, the Stormtroop family resettled in Europe, where they were still very active in politics. Here is a picture of Sir Reginald Stormtroop at the signing of the Magna Carta in 1215.

Before you get too excited and accuse me of changing history… and the bible… I don’t think this guy was invited to the dinner. He was just the waiter… who brought the wine and bread… and washed the holy grail…

Storm troopers through history… part 1…

I guess you could call this a spinoff of the series of posts I just finished about the new Star Wars movie. While doing the research for that, I obviously had to do extensive Google searches to find all those images of storm troopers… and I was more than a little surprised to find out that storm troopers aren’t the fictitious creation of the creator of the Star Wars universe at all. They were actual, real people.

I managed to track down the very first photo of a storm trooper…. well, technically, it is a photo of one of our prehistoric forebears named Stroop… whose ancestors would eventually become the illustrious Stormtroop family…

I thought it was very innovative that the new Star Wars movie let us see some of the day-to-day lives of your average storm trooper… like, I had no idea that some of them had part-time jobs…

And there was even that one scene where we got to see the storm trooper OBGYN delivering a new little storm trooper into the ranks…

Christmas isn’t the most wonderful time of the year for bloggers, readers and many bloggers are off prepping for the big day, partying, waiting in line for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and of course, searching for perfect gifts.

Here are some, er, helpful last-minute gift ideas for those hard to buy for folks:

1. O Christmas tree! As a cautionary note, unlike in the movies, apparently it’s ‘frowned upon’, some might even say illegal, to just randomly cut trees down. Who knew?

2. Draw happy faces on all their socks/nylons so they’ll feel happy as they start each day. Or sneak into their house or room…
