Our trip to the Bay Area actually ended with one of the most spectacular sunsets I have seen in a long time…
I always get a little depressed leaving the Bay Area. I just love that place on so many levels. And the drive is so long and so boring. And you have to get through L. A. traffic.
I did see a building decorated as a giant Christmas present, and that made me smile. And then, as we stopped one last time for gas just past Los Angeles, we saw the sky beginning to glow with fire.
And we pulled off the freeway to watch the sun sink into the Pacific Ocean.
Oh, and when I got out to take some pictures, I met this little guy.
His name was Winston, an awesome name for a Bulldog.
Watching the sunset was magical.
I can’t describe the colors, the calmness of the sea.
It was one of those moments that just hangs in time.
And then slowly fades into memory.
There is nothing so magical as a sunset over the ocean. I am jealous you get to see these!
Sunsets over snow can be nice…
Not quite the same because snow doesn’t reflect the light as well as water. Besides it’s usually so blustery you can’t see the sunset!
Stupid non-reflective snow!
Bulldogs are the best.
I love those dogs… I also love Bernese Mountain dogs… they are so sweet.
WOW!
The camera still doesn’t catch the quiet beauty.
Gorgeous pictures. Living on the east coast, I’m stuck with sunrises over the ocean, and who wants to be up at that ungodly hour? I’m telling you. We’re deprived.
And depraved… ha!
I KNEW you would say that the minute I typed it.
And yet you typed it anyway.
I did. I was hoping you’d be unpredictable. 🙂
I was… by not being for once…
Okay, now my head hurts.
I am just that good.
I bow down to your greatness.
As well you should!
Gosh I had no idea the Bay Area was so pretty and I live in the Bay Area. Those sunset pictures are beautiful.
Well, the sunset was in L. A. area, but the bay does have nice ones too.
Well that makes sense now that I think about it! Well they sure were pretty pictures. I hope you didn’t go blind looking at the sun too long while you were taking them. If you did, don’t worry they turned out great so it was worth it. (to me at least)!
who said that?
Dear god no! Not sun deafness!!!
No… blindness… I couldn’t see who… never mind… we will go with sun deafness… I like the way that sounds… I think… HA! Because I’m sun deaf!
Ahahahaha! Hahahaha!
oh yeah… I still got it…
still chuckling
sweet
Magic. Really, truly.
The wand… not only good for Asian food…
beautiful!
It was
Wow…beautiful sunset. The only thing in the sky here is snow.
I am spreading the sunshine… and other stuff…
