Everybody stop what you are doing right now and do a post telling WordPress to undo the changes…

The changes they made to the search engines are the reason fewer people are visiting your blog.

It isn’t you… It’s WordPress.

Do a post telling them you are not happy.

I’m done rebelling against WordPress… they’ve brought me to my knees. Luckily they don’t know where my knees live!

On a less humorous note (probably a quaver), it’s not WordPress that’s at fault on this one, but Google who changed their search algorithms. Some of the bloggers who are suffering most are those of us who post a lot of images. A friend, Timethief, wrote about their images changes, here: http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2013/02/01/google-image-search-redesign-raises-ire/

    • sigh… I do this all the time. I run amok. I go off half cocked. I fly off the handle. I get carried away. Somebody said something and I just ran with the rumor.
So now I can either apologize to WordPress and try to get people stirred up about Google, or I can… squirrel…

Going off half-cocked is better than going off no-cocked. (I am now certain I will regret saying that. Now your posts will be all over Google like a rash and I will get more of those comments that Akismet loves that say “great article you got haven’t you seen SEO trubuchet you could improve sothat much more.)

Never squirrel. You never know what it’ll do to your nuts.

        • I did a post way back warning people about the danger of crack squirrels, but people thought I was joking. Now simmer down… this is a family friendly environment…
          Just kidding… that was funny…

Wait…I’m so behind. What the hell did they do to the search engines?

    • Oh man. You need to go back a week or two if you want to follow the whole story of the revolution and the flaming beaver. I don’t know what they did to the search engines, but people told me they did something.

I’m actually getting used to the changes & I have so little traffic on my blog anyway, the numbers don’t make a difference.

Amen! Thank you I’m not the only one bothered by this. I made a post about this a time ago. http://blyertssmuts.wordpress.com/2013/01/10/what-the-eff-wordpress/

It must be a marketing ploy to urge people to pay for their blogs.

Woah I had no idea this happened – how did you find out?

Are they really going to listen?

Home, the English are too many.
