
Whenever we go back to the Bay Area, we like to stop by the little farm in Tilden Park, in the hills above Berkeley, and not far from my mom’s house.

As is often the case, this time we went with our Godson and his parents. The Little Farm is awesome.

It has goats… with their weird devil eyes.

And it has cows… who get fed a lot of lettuce and carrots…

Until, eventually, they are like: whatever man… seriously… I couldn’t eat another bite.
I just like that picture because the geese line up so well… it sort of flows… if you know what I mean.

I also spotted this cute little shorebird.
I find it fascinating that birds are so specialized… that there are birds that find all their food in that strange, shifting place between the land and the sea.
Also, I now want a stairway to nowhere…
Because a stairway to nowhere really leads to anywhere…
