We just got back from visiting Jessica, our older daughter, in Arizona. We had to pick Mollie up at camp East of LA so we went to Arizona a new way…
That should explain why this desert looks marginally different from the pictures I took the other times we went there…
It should also explain why I have been doing such short posts without any pictures… because I have been doing them on the iPad… which has its quirks…
But we did see some crazy new mountains… okay, technically, this is the same way we drove when we first moved Jessica to Scottsdale, but that time it was dark for much of this…
And everybody else was in the other car while I was hauling a huge U-Haul rental trailer behind me and couldn’t take pictures…
And the desert was really sort of green this time… you know…
For a desert… Oh, and I think I promised you some colors, so here is a picture I took of the sunset on the first night of our three-day trip… just as we got close to our destination….
And here are a couple of photos of the sunrise this morning…
I took them from our hotel…
Just before we started driving back… and saw lots of this…
I just complained about the lack of pics! I love pics of places I haven’t been!
phew… I thought something was wrong
Art, I think your car needs a name. Still a great song.
We could have a naming contest.
Anything but “Christine” very scary.
good point
Okay, a hundred points for the title. Minus ten for not running those pics through Photoshop’s auto-sharpen.
Well, that was my old camera and I was in a car on the freeway… but the desert is sometimes hazy…
I was giving you the feel of the desert.
The desert is out of focus? It sure has changed since I lived there.
I like to think it was part cheap camera, part dirty window, part speed of travel, part distance, part hazy sky, and part laziness.
Way to delegate.
Still, Photoshop, dude.
fine
Beautiful in its uniqueness – much like you Art. ha!
awwww… shucks
It will probably look different after the rains.. 🙂
There had been some, but I am going to try to go back when the flowers are blooming.
