Okay, just a few more pictures of my new little cousin, Clark, whom I met for the fist time at Christmas.
I have no idea what he is eating.. they did not have that when my kids were that small.
But he does seem to enjoy it. And I like the way babies eat… it makes me seem like I am not such a messier eater after all.
Awwwwww… Now the little guy is upset… but it didn’t last for long. That is Clark’s mom holding him, one of my favorite cousins of all times!!! Everybody say hi to Mallorie.
There we go… all better now.
So awesome that they live in California now… close enough to my mom’s house that we will get to see them fairly regularly.
That way, we can all watch Clark grow up together.

What a wonderful idea for a baby snack, tubes of fruits & veggies! Then you don’t have to hand them a cracker & deal with all the mess like when my kids were small!

LOL he’s a cutie. What he is eating is basically baby food in a suck on bag instead of a jar. Same texture as applesauce. The hock it as a healthy snack and I suppose it’s better than potato chips but it has a LOT of fruit sugars in it.
kids eat healthier now than when I was little
Sometimes it appears that way but mostly it’s an illusion. There are more overweight and malnourished kids in our society than ever. For the first time in our history there are rich kids who are malnourished. I don’t mean they are starving I mean they are missing out on vital nutrients. Sighhhh , sorry, soap box topic for me I worked in that health club for too long… hee hee
I should have been more aware of that
We too often get kids of rich parents who have actually been court ordered by judges to participate in a guided and monitored dietary plan after their child had a stroke, heart attack, kidney episode or other major health emergency caused by what parents today think of as healthy. It infuriates me. We need to find the balance again.
