I like to wear my Captain Jack Sparrow pirate hat… The only place I don’t wear it is at Disneyland. And the only time I don’t wear it is around Halloween…
Nope, I wear it when I am blogging…
I wear it to drive my older daughter to the airport, or when I have chores to do and errands to run.
Because any idiot can wear a pirate hat when they are at Disneyland… or as part of a Halloween costume… and I am not just any kind of idiot!

You’re choice of head coverings must delight your children – especially when seen with you in public. Ha!
Our teen girl once convinced her Mom to buy her some new clothes. We went to the local mall/ teen-hangout and she asked her Mom and I to walk at least 20 paces behind he so her friends wouldn’t know we were together. And my wife and I were actually pretty presentable – I can’t imagine her reaction if i were wearing your pirate gear. Ha!
My kids have come to expect a certain level of silliness with me. They do not embarrass easily.

I must admit it does remind me of my teenage years.
I think the fact that you’ve had a five part series (so far, anyway) describing the things that you do that make you weird is proof, in and of itself, that you are weird. I wonder, though, if you can have as many parts to this series as you have comments on that one post of yours. I can see it now: “Weird things I do to entertain myself… because I’m weird… part 35,000…”
Let’s just say that I can see this going on for a while… unless the crack squirrels get bored.
Plus it kinda gives you that down home look of having your old mullet back. Brings a tear to my eye. lol.
