I tend to think all the other races are much more interesting than mine. I love the culture, the history, the food, the music and dance, the language, the colors and scents.
It’s almost like I am a racist against my own race.
I do everything wrong.
All the other racists are laughing at me.
(This was meant as satire… sort of an ironic, twisted look at racism… it is just an attempt at humor… please, white people, don’t send me hate mail)…

The shame comes in when you meet someone that just fit’s the stereotypical ideas of each race. Regardless of their race. Come on. We are all people, people. I don’t understand violence, riots, looting etc. WTF? There’s the answer!
I don’t like that the cop has already been judged by the press before they finish the investigation.
or that he was shot in the back but the autopsy shows wounds on the front of the body. If we are talking about the recent Ferguson incident. Remember Rodney King? The man was a giant, and being combative. He was beaten because he was black? I don’t think so. He was beaten because he was a large man under the influence of drugs who wasn’t interested in following the directions the officers were giving. My beanpole white son wouldn’t have gotten beaten. Not because he is white, but because he would have gotten down and not moved, as directed by the officer.
I never argue with a bunch of guys with sticks and guns.

It is so true, we have assimilated so much of other cultures that it seems ludicrous for anyone to be prejudiced. Ha! I used to truck aorund North America and I recall being lined up to get on the 401 at 5pm one cold winter’s night in Toronto. It was dark already and frigid (-30) and the scene was 10 lanes of brakelights with vapor swirling. This is the busiest highway in Canade at its busest time with about 20 lanes – 4 lanes of express, 4 lanes of local and 2 ramp lanes in this location, each way. I overheard a CB conversation between two drivers and one was demanding that Middle Eastern immigrants were taking jobs and causing this problem. Yeah right. I told him that unless he was pure Native (and there are very few without at least some European DNA ) that he was the offspring of an immigramt. He came back that at least his ancestors rode horses and not camels. I told him that I sure wouldn’t want to be out here tonight on a horse or camel. That ended the conversation.
I applaud your stance Art. Immigrants and different cultures are what built this country (I’m Canadian but it is true for the US too)and made it strong. Prejudice is nuts (crack squirrel nuts).
I think that Canadians are better than me… even the white ones… HA!!!

Well, you’ve not experienced enough English culture. We have history (not at all one filled with suppressing other cultures) food (ok, it’s only now getting good after centuries , music and dance – have you never even seen Morris dancing? The language, well we’ve ruined it now since everyone textspeaks. The scents, yes the scents of the English Countryside, smells a bit like cow shit.

Haha! True. You do love a bit of history though and we do have tons of that if we ignore the atrocities.
But food…yes, food is better in every other culture.
