Yes, she was beautiful. So beautiful that we still use her name thousands of years later as an ideal of beauty for which to strive. They say that her beauty launched a thousand ships. Well, yeah, but not in a good way.
Those thousand ships were full of thousands of men who were sailing to war against thousands of other men. Why? Because good old Helen was a two-timing floozy. She ran off with some handsome stranger that her husband had invited into his home and treated as an honored guest.
Well, long story short, lots of people died… including just about everybody in the city that Helen had run off to. There was no happy ending. There was just years of blood and misery.
But is there a moral to this story… I mean, besides the one about being wary of Greeks who turn up with big, wooden horses?
I believe there is. The lesson we should learn is that beauty, by itself, means nothing. Maybe even less than nothing. What is the value of something that is beautiful on the outside and hollow on the inside… uh… you know… like a big, hollow, wooden horse? What is more evil than something that is beautiful on the outside yet foul and corrupted on the inside.
I guess I am saying that we should put at least as much effort into making our insides at least as beautiful as our outsides.

Does this have something to do with dietary fibre?
everything has something to do with that
My insides match up pretty good. No beauty here.
oh come now
Sure, blame Helen. But what about her ex, who thought that killing tens of thousands of people to punish the cheating wife and her lover is totally okay?
Are you saying it isn’t???
I think this is some serious overreaction.
well… yeah…
I agree with you, X.
You have to judge his behavior by the standards of the times.
“There was no happy ending. There was just years of blood and misery.” Have you been down visiting the DMV again? I told you those ladies are cruel.
Dude… I thought I had that all figured out after two more visits and endless calls, and I found out they are mailing all the papers back because of some problem
Going deep again. Sounds like the squirrels are going cold turkey.
sounds like a country band… hot squirrels and cold turkeys
