I always love it when I look out onto the street at my mom’s house and see deer…
The thing is… there is that confounded thing again… the people living there hate them. They eat all the plants and flowers. They used to come right into our yard, but we have deer-proofed it.
Even the ivy isn’t safe. And I do love flowers, so I sort of see why the people wish they would go away.

They are cute – but like the chipmunk who lived in our garage they can get really destructive. (the chipmunk ate some of our wiring). Bambi!
Nature gives, nature takes away.
That doesn’t look the a forest, are they lost?
There are a lot of open areas and big parks. They just wander around. And we didn’t have guys in tights shoot them all with arrows.
Very cool, we have them in Richmond Park, stags too, well even the deer need to get some.
Oh deer!
Doe! (Doh!)
HA!!!
Great photo story! We in Europe (at least in Italy anyway) only dream of deer and wildlife…people have taken up most of the space…Americans should think about this…
Some of us do. Maybe not enough. I love Italy. I have been there twice. Thanks for commenting.
that’s awesome! i would have been standing there watching them as long as they stayed! and snapping pics of course!
We see them almost every day.
what a gift!
I think so to. Plus there are raccoons and wild turkeys. I did pictures of those in other posts. And this is all 15 minutes from downtown Berkeley and 45 minutes from San Francisco.
that just rocks!!
I know, right?
totally!
We had a deer in our yard today. I wanted to hug him. Deer are so pretty. I wish we had bunnies.
What would we do without animals?
Be vegetarians.
And we would have done a lot more walking.
