Of course I am worried that all his crazy and cruel new rules will become national problems. I have 2 daughters and no grandchildren. I do not want a national abortion ban. Because I do not want my daughters to bleed out in a parking lot.
Ironically, these are two professional women. White women. Isn’t this what the Maga party wants more of, to breed the next generation of cult followers? I mean, good luck getting either one of them to stay barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen while you are off watching Nascar and beating up brown people. But that is the general idea, right?
Also, can we at least agree that not all… or even most… medical emergencies during a pregnancy involve any purposeful termination of the pregnancy. At this point, it becomes cruelty. If the baby is in crisis, a baby the mother wanted to have and to keep and to love and raise, sometimes the only choice is to save one and not both. Besides, if the baby is not going to survive anyway, isn’t that the kind of thing you like to leave up to god?
Oh, right. I forgot what I was going to worry about now. Speaking of new national changes of the law, they better not make weed illegal again. That is what is keeping me calm. That is what is letting me do funny posts instead of getting a bunch of like-minded people to storm the Capitol Building or some such nonsense.
Okay, we get it. You were not happy about the way the plane was being flown. So you elected this guy. A guy who has never successfully flown anything. But don’t worry. He has a concept of an inkling of a vague idea of a plan to fly the plane.
But let’s not stop there. You also decided to replace the people who make planes, and try to keep planes safe, and who control the air traffic control and airports and even the people who put the food on the planes. Not only that, you decided, for whatever reason, to replace all these people, people who were doing their best, with people who do not believe in science and therefore do not think that planes can fly… over the flat earth… through the harrowing rain of Jewish space lasers trying to burn holes in the border wall that tRump almost started, to let the ravaging hordes of murderous foreign trans-zombies in to eat your goldfish and turn your dogs gay.
Sure, put the brain worm guy in charge of all air travel and anything associated with air travel. Put the goofy rich tech guy with the morals of a jar of Vasoline in charge of some of it. Don’t forget to remove all safety rules and oversight and responsibility for anything whatsoever from anyone involved. Because the only people who are going to pay for all this are the non-rich, And you are going to blame everything that goes wrong on the old pilot anyway.
How does picking the worst people for important jobs help us? A guy with a half-eaten brain and a distrust of modern medicine is in charge of Health? A sex offender, various people either recently released form prison or under investigation. I this just anger? Is tearing the entire system we built down worth it, because it seems like this is all a bad joke or a deliberate plan by Putin to crush America.
What does tRump or anyone at all benefit from this chaos, built on fear, motivated by greed?
How does it help us to be friends with this Putin guy, who is, if anything, just a worse version of tRump himself. The main difference being that Putin actually kills people who disagree with him, whereas tRump has only talked about doing it… so far…
So now, we are allying ourselves with a dictatorial Communist empire rather than the people who have fought with us, beside us. Are we going to switch from siding with South Korea to North Korea? Are we going to let communism spread across the globe?
But hey, feel free to give control over our nuclear arsenal to this moron, because that isn’t at all like giving a loaded gun to an angry toddler.
My absolute favorite part of all this is that the people who voted for this imbecile actually think that none of his stupid revenge plots and plans to dismantle everything in the system that works, if not perfectly, then at least not to the national detriment, will somehow not be a bad thing for them or people they know. This might be the most blatant ignorance ever to infect such a large body of humanity in the history of everything.
As I go on, we will discuss all the ways that this is going to hurt ALL of us. Maybe we will finish up before the changes start, so you will be able to see for yourselves how right I am. I know that the idea of voting just to spite the people that disagree with you is a tempting one, but you really ought to have read some of the small print.
Sometimes, it ends up that even people who do study history… like me… are doomed to repeat it.
