Oh man, I crack me up.

It turns out that this is a thing now. You take photos through crystal balls, and get a weird fish-eye effect.

I didn’t even know about this as a thing.

But I got a set for my birthday. They come in handy little protective cases. There are too of them, of two sizes. There is a cleaning cloth and a little clear crystal stand.

I Googled it, and people mostly use them for sky and beach pictures.

So far I have just played around with the big one in my backyard.

Not all the pictures are great, but I will figure out some cool stuff to do with them.

I did learn that if you aren’t careful, you can focus light on your own hand and burn yourself like a kid roasting a bug with a magnifying glass. But I moved before it got that bad.

I am just beginning to see the possibilities.
