You know what it reminds me of? The ‘Rainbow Bears’!!! In case you are wondering, the Rainbow Bears are a race of aliens that live on a vast alien space station from my science fiction novel series: The Otherwhere Chronicles… (available over there—> in my sidebar)… Picture upright-walking bears that come in all color combinations, and seem very friendly… except for a dark secret that totally shocks me… well, not this me, the me from another universe that is the hero in the books, and… oh, just read them already.

I like flowers… it is the artist in me… and when I was at the zoo with little Olivia, I saw this flower. These flowers are all over San Diego, but, until I saw a few of these planted close together, I never realized there were so many colors of that one type of flower…

I mean, the pink and yellow and red one is awesome…

He was totally jealous…

He was actually pacing back and forth at the top of the enclosure, smelling the fence. It turns out that he has a brother, and the zoo has been separating them  for part of the day, to get used to the fact that they will soon be kept apart permanently.

His brother was on the other side of the fence, also pacing and sniffing… it was sad… but cute…

It is a rare treat to see this cat outside during the day.

It is some kind of jungle fishing cat, but I can’t remember where it is from. It looks like a house cat, but it is larger by a third… wait… did I just do math?

But why ruin the mood talking about that guy… besides, if he gets elected, we can forget any meaningful dialog on climate change, so we will all drown… along with all these animals… which should make his kids happy…
