“Lassie! You have some ‘splainin’ to doo!”
Right!
I was gonna say “Lassie, I’m home” but I remember reading that he never actually said that despite the whole world remembering that. But I KNOW this was a quote LOL
I think it was Lassie come home
Oh, in the show Lassie it was; Ricky never actually said “Lucy I’m home.” Actually, now that you remind me how similar they are, I’m glad I went with the first!
I am so confused. There are two shows… Lassie, about a dog, and I Love Lucy, about Ricky and Lucy. And he did say Honey, I’m home. But there was a movie I think, called Lassie Come Home
That’s the thing.
Originally I had wanted to write “Lassie Come Home” however, since Ricky never said that (at least according to his daughter), I decided to put in “Lasssie you have some splainin to dooo” More recognizable as a mesh. I didn’t realize how close the come home was between the two shows and once you pointed that out I realized that the “splainnin” quote was a better choice by far.
Honestly, it was nothing deep, just my brain on “I’m gonna be weird today”
