Some mammals have adorable faces that make you want to get to know them.

They might even be the kinds of mammals that appear to enjoy the company of other mammals.

They can look, at first glance, as though they would enjoy nothing more than a nice, long conversation.

Once again, looks can be deceiving.

What appears to be a friendly conversation might actually be the precursor to a serious battle for domination. Never interrupt mammals  during any kind of dispute, but most of all, never get in the middle of a mating ritual. And this also holds true of two-legged mammals. Just sayin’.

Oh, and some mammals are actually protected by law from being disturbed, annoyed, bothered, pestered, or messed with in any fashion, and, you should be aware of that… particularly when it comes to 1,000-pound, horny male elephant seals.
