HA! See what I did there? I made a Godfather reference… because I am Willie’s godfather now…

Although, to be honest, his favorite part of the day was still running around making siren noises with that little whistle thing I gave him… and the red and blue finger lights that I also gave him…

Our yard looked lovely, in part because my older daughter, Jessica, came to town and brought all her flower bottles and decorating magic… which she totally inherited from me, just so you know. I can make a wicked awesome floral arrangement.

We were a little worried because it rained the day before… which we really needed… but not during the party…

But the sun came out and things dried up just in time to get ready for people to arrive.

Once again, Willie was somewhat unimpressed with the importance of the actual occasion… because he is two… The only reason he is standing still there is to get a hug from his dad… also known as ‘Big Johnny’.

All in all the backyard looked great.

I always love a garden party because it gives me a chance to get all my tikis out.

Oh yeah… mad tiki-carving skilzz…

I would say that Willie was unimpressed with my tiki carving skills, and just wanted to blow the whistle until lack of oxygen made him look drunk… but later on he did play a rousing game of ‘run away from the scary tiki men’ with my daughters… so…
