The drug companies spend more on advertising than they do on research or adequate long-term safety testing of the drugs they sell you…

Oh, and they also channel huge amounts of money into the pockets of doctors in this country to try to get them to prescribe meds to you… even if you don’t actually need those meds…and also they are trying to get more and more doctors to prescribe drugs to you for things the drugs weren’t even designed to do, which is called; ‘going off label’.

They need all this money to keep settling lawsuits brought on by people who are being killed or made ill by all the drugs they keep shoving at us.

We  are all human guinea pigs for the huge pharmaceutical corporations.

Just thought you should know that.

When you have “chemical imbalances” with your system, it gets even worse because there really is no ONE drug to fix the problem. You have to keep experimenting with different combinations until you find the right one for you. Then a few years later your system gets tolerant to the drugs & you have to start all over again. In the meantime you live in hell as the chemicals course through your system.

Every doctor I ever go to, and that I take my son to, knows that I do not like medication and will prefer natural alternatives. And I’m fortunate that the pediatrician, and my son’s neurologist support all my choices, including putting him on a juice cleanse, rather than to think I’m medically negligent and report me to social services.

And your evidence for these statements? People love to hate the pharma companies. But, as someone whose life has been improved 100 times over by pharmaceuticals, I don’t.

Pharma companies are businesses. They make a product. They make products that improve lives including mine. Drugs have side effects — all do. Pharma companies spend big bucks trying to identify them, prevent them and warn physicians and patients about the possibility. You know that list of possible side effects at the end of ever drug commercial? Who do you think studied the drug to find out what to list?

It costs $2.6 billion to develop a new drug. As far as I know, there are no companies who put that much $ into promotion.

This is a red-button issue with me. People criticize the pharma companies which make a product that is intended to preserve life, treat the symptoms of disease. Make us feel better.

And the drugs are so often more expensive than they have to be. True story, 60 Minutes.

So they are basically public relations/advertising companies that have a side business producing drugs.

That’s why I turned to nutrition. The one thing I noticed was that the more often people went to Doctors, the more ill they became! Certainly a relevant and pertinent post! The big question remains… What are we going to do about it? Stop buying into their crap! People were here long before the word: ‘Pharmacist’ was invented.

  7. Woah!
Serious Art? I didn’t see that coming! That’s not just true for America, you know…
There’s a popular joke here in our country. You have to visit the doctor – He’s gotta make a living. You’ve got to visit the pharmacist. He’s got to make a living too. Just don’t eat the meds, because you know…

Already knew that but the more people say it out loud, the better. A lot of people don’t seem to care about this unfortunately….

Yup just more folks in our pockets and to the detriment of our health too. I asked for the hell of it what a teensy tiny bottle of prescription allergy eye drops were without my insurance. $154.00 eye drops not pain meds or cancer meds stupid eye drops. Never mind what it costs the insurance companies and others for them what about the lives that are lost because people can’t afford them? Just sad how much greed there is in that industry. Don’t know how any of them sleep at night.

I’ve heard of patients changing doctors because they wouldn’t prescribe what the patient demanded, based on a commercial. Scary, crazy.
