Thank you, Paula Acton…

I just wanted to let you know that I have been noticing that you have been going through a few hundred of my old posts, doing a few dozen each day, and just liking them. I know that once we get behind it is hard to catch back up… especially with me doing 3 or 4 posts every day… and there isn’t always time to leave a witty and insightful comment on every post of every blog we read, and I seem to recall that you have never been the chattiest person when it comes to comments anyway, and I am fine with that. But I just wanted to say thank you, and I have noticed.

And thanks to all the rest of you who just stop by for however long. Even if you don’t ever comment… or maybe even don’t bother to hit the like button on posts. I am thankful for any time you spend here, as long as you are mildly amused.

All that being said… WordPress, giving us the ability to ‘like’ comments was the stupidest, most demeaning, supremely useless and counterproductive of all the unwanted changes you have foisted upon us.

You can like comments? I can’t see how you can on my computer. Maybe I have the only remaining old version left. You can have it for a million pounds

Let me know and I’ll reply with my bank details

I do comment occasionally but the truth is it is one of my resolutions to finally empty that damn inbox and I am nearly there I believe I have forty something outstanding now but I have been using my daughters tablet so I can actually catch up on more when travelling to work and back etc which has helped, hopefully once I catch up properly I shall have the time to be more chatty. 😀

I like liking. Also, Brits are the best. I almost wanted to write “brisket”.

Liking comments. It drives me crazy. I mean, I like comments. I like everybody’s comments. But now I am getting 12,398,708 emails every bloomin’ day. And I can’t tell the difference between when they are likes and real posts. So I’m missing stuff. And I’m really busy and and and and and and and

I don’t ‘like’ the comments left on my blog, Art, even though I love the comments left on my blog, just because it would be a never-ending cycle. Liking the post is enough for the liking. So once again I agree with you. How do you like that? But no need to like it. 🙂

Hey, some of us can’t come up with good responses. The Like button is still necessary.

Ugh. I wish I had more time to leave comments or even just read all the awesome blogs I follow, especially yours. 😊

  9. I’ve utilized the like comment feature when, by the time I arrive to a post, the thread is so long that I feel like my comment will just get swallowed up and the person to whom I want to direct my thoughts will never know I meant my feedback for him/her. I can’t always reply to the specific remark that I want to, so I do appreciate this simple way to let someone know, “hey, I wanted to let you know I read this.”
