You knew your checkered past would be a benefit some day, didn’t you?
I did
I got grand jury once, only time I ever got jury duty in my life. It was three months, every day that I went in I got paid $50, plus you get paid for your work when you take the time off. Plus I learned a lot about the legal system and process, and the law in general. It was fascinating, but troublesome too, when the victims would have to come up and state their stories to us. Some tragic stories. But I valued the experience immensely.
I have some… first hand experience with the legal system that makes me less than optimal.
Yeah, I would have, in high school, if my dad didn’t know all the cops. I had cops pick me up and drive me home and talk to my dad on a number of occasions. Then I have kind of a funny story about the cops pulling me and my friends over while I was on acid, but that was when I was 22. But I was never arrested, somehow, it’s a miracle, and I’m also still alive, which is another miracle.
I can’t even get started on this… my secret blog was so long… so many stories…
I can imagine, so what was your brush with the law
brushes… more brushes than your average painter…
the inquiring mind needs to know
and knows to need
good one, score!

I’m banned from Jury duty. Hope you get a juicy case.
I just tell them about my past and they send me home
😀
yup
Send the crack squirrels instead, Art!
(Good luck; I’ve never been called …)
what up with that???
No idea.
But they trust me to do it?
Don’t sell yourselfshort
ok
Been on a jury once…. it was scary…. would not have wanted those people making life or death decisions about me…
Well, I practice judging people all the time… so…
OMG Art – the judge is in for a surprise. When a person includes aliens, crack squirrels, super-heros, etc – the meaning of “reasonable doubt” becomes much, mich different than it is for John Q. Public. May the force be with you!
I’m sure it will be
Oh no, not fun! I’ve never been called for that thankfully but I couldn’t do it if they wanted me.
probably just as well… ha!
Yep!
word
Do you have to show up? I got called for jury duty earlier this year. I got a letter. It said to check the superior court website every night for a week to see if my “group” had been called to appear the next day. I did and each time,my group was not called. So I spent a week on call, but not getting the call to duty.
The advantage of… uh… having a colorful past… is that I get sent home right away.
Don’t forget to comment on my post for today, Art. You’ll regret it if you don’t.
ok
Give ’em hell, Art.
