Yeah, you heard me… and this is going to be freakin’ awesome. The whole thing started off innocently enough… like most things do on this crazy blog. We were talking about having another drunken reunion weekend on that post where we are trying to break the record for the most comments on one post. And then Julie, one of my most loyal and awesome minions, discovered that the birthday of that post is coming up in January. And Julie is a professional cake decorator. And I told her she should decorate the post for its birthday. And she said butter cream frosting would get my screen and keyboard all messy. And I told her that it would be cool if she did some sort of frosting design on a plate and then sent me a picture and I could post it… and that got me thinking…
What if I had a contest… to see who could do the best piece of art for this blog.
There aren’t really any rules… only a few suggestions:
1. It would be awesome if it included either my blog name… ‘Pouringmyartout’ or a picture of my face with those shades that you always see here.
Wait… that’s it, really. I mean, you can take any part of this blog that you like and do something creative with it. I don’t care if it is a drawing or a painting, a photograph, a frosted cake, whatever. You can get a tattoo of my face and send me a photo… cut my logo into your lawn… get a sky-writer plane to write ‘Pouringmyartout’ in the clouds… print up pictures of my face and make your whole family be me for Halloween. Get creative.
I am even going to tell you all my email so you can send me your works of Art… (ha, get it?)…

I will make a huge deal of every piece of art you send me. I will post them and do links. And then, when we all feel like the contest is over, you can help me pick the winners, and I will do something crazy cool for the artists… I don’t know what, yet. But it will be weird.

Okay, I would like to say that I can’t draw. I really can’t draw. Me and art are in rival gangs, sworn enemies never to meet each other in kindness or amity. But I shall send you a picture of the best art I could draw. I slaved for about 15 years (or maybe ten minutes, but 15 years sounds better) on this project.
