Ha! they can do both virtually simultaneously – zip to parking lot. I was in my truck-stop motel room one fine sunny day out in Ontario,CA, just east of the city, when there was a knock at the door. I thought I was 3,000 miles from the closest person I knew (bear with me, this will become relevant in a moment). I opened the door and there stood one of my company’s drivers. After cursory hellos, he asked “I saw your truck in the lot when I went by, do you have a load to go back home yet?” Me: “No, why?” Him: ” Can you cover my load please? It is a full load from Barstow to St.John’s Newfoundland.” Me: “Sure, why can’t you take it?” (It is a honey of a load – one pick up, one drop and a 5,000 mile drive diagonally across the continent. A big money maker that will keep me busy for a over a week and then leave me empty within a short distance of many reload points,) Him: ‘One of these California drivers just changed lanes without looking and drove his convertible sports car right underneath my trailer and now it’s jammed under there. We have I-10 shut down. The cops gave me a ride back here while we wait for a wrecker. No one was hurt.”.Ahhh, from zip to parking lot in 3 seconds. Me:”Sure, give me the info and thanks.”
Uh… I try never to park underneath semi-trailers…
Well stop speeding dude! Yea I know I drive real slow, but that is actually the speed limit…
I speed just a little… the exact right amount.
Zipping, texting, putting on makeup, brushing teeth, and unsnapping and taking off a bra. All while driving. (the last one MIGHT have been me lol cos I never text/drive)

I didn’t think anyone “zipped” on California freeways! I thought they more resembled parking lots…
It is either one or the other.
