It is going to be a busy weekend. It is my wife’s high school reunion. And some of you may remember that Big Johnny, Willie’s dad, is an old school friend of my wife. So we are going to see them this weekend. Also, we decided to rent a hotel room downtown so we can both drink and we don’t have to drive home.
I plan on having a little fun. Because of the fact that I have the generic kind of face that always reminds everybody of somebody they met or someone they saw somewhere, I am going to mess with people’s heads. I am going to spend the evening walking up to people I have never met and trying to convince them that I sat near them in math class. I will make them spend most of the evening trying to remember my name.
I bet I can get a bunch of people to say that they remember me.
It should be a lot of fun.
And then, next week, I will have a bunch of gratuitous pictures of my little buddy, Willie, to share.

All of them…. everything you ever did do, didn’t do, wouldn’t do, shouldn’t do, did but regret, didn’t do but wish you did, might do but know you shouldn’t, plan to do, plan not to do, are doing, aren’t doing… did I miss anything…
Ok, this is not in order of significance and may not be a complete list, but here it is:
What I did do (which doesn’t include some of the more positive things): hitchhiked cross the states, danced on a pool table, did lots of drugs, stole city property, drank enough to kill me if I had even less than a third of that much now, witnessed drug deals, carried drugs on a plane to Hawaii, got in fights in bars, got naked while hiking, behaved like an idiot, and there’s so much more…
Didn’t do: armed robbery, kill anyone…
Wouldn’t do: armed robbery, kill anyone, become a fugitive from justice…
Shouldn’t do: Behave like an idiot, admit to everything…
Did but regret: I don’t have many regrets, if any, except maybe behaving like an idiot…
Didn’t do but wish I did: Go to Italy, go to England, maintain the languages I learned, crushed grapes with my feet to make wine, get published, not behave like an idiot…
Might do but know I shouldn’t: Expose my true identity, act like an idiot, go to class reunions…
Plan to do: Get published…
Plan not to do: Pick my nose in public, expose myself to elderly women, act like an idiot but I can’t avoid that, sell myself on Craigslist…
Are doing: Making a list…
Aren’t doing: Editing my novel, making history, amusing you…
I’m not sure if you missed anything, I know I did. Is any of this relevant to your post? Maybe I should make a more relevant list.
A series of blog posts would do the trick… but I have something to work with.

Art, you need to update your picture. The mustache is gone and the gratuitous beard does not fit Disney-style with the clam.
I thought of that as I did the picture, but I have all those pages of my head in Photoshop just to do this stuff with, and they all have facial hair.
