It is time to meet my wife’s sister and her husband. Here they are, Laural and Kirk…
No, they aren’t really that drunk… well, we were pretty drunk, we were at a luau, and they served free drinks… but they were hamming it up for the camera… Mostly…
We owe Kirk and Laural a lot. They live on Maui, and they made our second honeymoon very special. For one thing, being locals, they got us discounts on everything from our hotels to fine dining and the luau. Also, they showed us around the island, and we saw stuff we wouldn’t have known about if we went on our own.
Kirk is retired and he now rents a little garage which he has turned into an art studio…
He is making some awesome clocks out of local wood…
And he is going to send us one… along with all those underwater pictures from his Go Pro camera we borrowed…
His studio is in a trippy part of town that we might never have found…
There is an entire little community of artists… painters and surfboard makers and so on… and a really nice bakery. Oh, and he made me this awesome wallet… nice leather… with a whale on it…
The whale is jumping out of the water, but it also sort of looks like somebody dancing. So stay tuned because I am going to share some pictures and some stories of the things we did together…

Eh bruddah-in-law, thanks for plug on the studio and for the awesome day in paradise. Kirk
no… thank you… and I still have more pictures of the luau and your garden…
Aaaawe. She resents us? How come – we’re friendly. **Pouts**
I’m sure it isn’t personal
How great that your in-laws are there! Love his studio and work. 🙂
He is living the dream.
They are living the dream! It’s a good thing your in-laws aren’t as camera shy as your wife.
She resents my blog life.
Awesome!
Thanks.
