So we should get through the Christmas ones right now… because Christmas is over…

We had the usual beautiful table, because my kids love doing that.
It does sort of set the mood…
And you might as well use mom’s fancy dishes now and then.
And it makes the plum pudding look extra fancy… which it sort of needs…
I am not going to explain plum pudding to you again. You can Goggle it. But it tastes best with lots of hard sauce, which is a liquor-based cream frosting… oh, and you can’t tell in this flash picture, but the plum pudding is on fire… because you douse it with booze and set it alight before you serve it. In the dark it looks really cool.
It all comes from our English heritage. Every Christmas we have roast beef and Yorkshire pudding and plum pudding for desert. You have to hang on to something from the Old Country, right?

That looks pretty classy. We just table and eat at our house. Probs from being the host house for so long.
We have at least 12 people at each dinner and sometimes way more than that.
We had 7 this time. The record for us is 13. We’re out here by ourselves, so people come to visit us, or they don’t. We’re the largest family, so…
We end up with a bunch of people traveling to visit just two people. Not efficient, but fun.
hmmmmm
mmmm hmmmm
You should try your pudding with Supreme sauce – it’s made with whipping cream, vanilla & brown sugar. Very rich & creamy!
No booze???
You can add some brandy to the sauce if you like, you just have to whip the cream a little stiffer to make up for the extra liquid.
Hard sauce is just powdered sugar, butter, and hard liquor…
