I have a cute story to tell you. Or, technically, I am adding even more cuteness onto an already cute story. Remember how I loaned the very first copy of the monkey book to a lady who works with my wife? She has three little girls and I wanted some feedback. But it was my only copy of the book. My first copy.

When the little four-year old got the book home, she kept telling her mom to read the book to her over and over again, and then she hid it under her pillow so she could keep it… whatever… I can’t complain about her loving my work. But I didn’t know about the book’s awesome staying power.

Yesterday, the nice lady that works with my wife told my wife the following story: The lady had to go out, so her mother came over to watch the girls. Grandma was walking by the littlest girl’s room, and she heard her and her sisters giggling and laughing. She stuck her head in to see what they were up too. They were reading the monkey book. That’s right, a month later and they still love it.

And that’s not all. Grandma, it turns out, is an English teacher. And she read the book. And she said it was fantastic. So… yeah… you can buy it if you want, by clicking on the picture of it over there on my sidebar.

And you know who else loves my monkey book? Monkeys!

Turns out they can’t get enough of it either…

So this Christmas, if you only buy one children’s book to read to the little ones at bedtime, you know which one to get, right?
