Fog and flowers…

I love a sunny day in the Bay Area as much as the next person, but there is just something about the fog…

a 1I took a few pictures of my mom’s back garden on a foggy morning…

a 2I love fog. If you grew up near San Francisco, you almost have to love fog. It cocoons you. It envelopes you. It wraps the world in misty mystery…

a 3It makes the world seem sort of small in a way.

a 4It obscures the distances and makes you focus on what is nearby. I took a picture of the huge, old redwood tree across the street. We used to climb that tree when we were kids. I love the way the fog dances around the top of the trees…

Wow, I guess people really don’t like fog as much as pics of you photo bombing your own photos (500+ comments to 10?).

  2. Lovely photos. I miss California every day: the sun, the fog, everything. Thanks for sharing!

Fog’s some good weather. One of the best as far as they go. Well done nature.

What a pretty garden. I could really relax there.
