Pouring My Art Out

So, the remodel is almost done. Wait, I did tell you that we have moved back home, right? The remodel only took more than twice as long as it was supposed to. But we made it back in time to have 18 people over for Thanksgiving… which explains the bread cornucopia that our younger daughter Mollie made, and which was full of fruit at one point… on our brand new bar.

I love the counter tops. It was our boldest choice. I mean, yeah, the new, very quiet dish washer is nice, and the new stove, and the new cabinets…

… and the new fridge, and the fancy lighting…

But I really love the crazy quartz counter tops! I wish we had gone a little bolder on the back splash, added some more color instead of plain white subway tiles… but oh well.

Out new dining table has two leaves, and can end up being really huge.

And the new couch is great. We even have a new bed, over there on the floor by the window, for our dog. The walls are a cool, grey/green color.

The new floors are not real wood. It is vinyl. Shiloh looks good on the new floors, and it hides her shedding hair… sort of…

Mollie got a completely new bathroom.

And I even got to pick out the tiles in our new shower… I feel like a Roman emperor when I am in there.

So we spent a lot of money that we didn’t have, and we are still moving stuff back in, and I have no office or music room yet… but it is nice to be home.
