Opinions are not the same thing as facts… (or); Some things are true, and some things aren’t… a guide to some common misconceptions… part 2…

The Earth is not flat. End of discussion. Oh, go right ahead and not believe it if you want to, but might I suggest getting an opinion that isn’t so easy to disprove? We have been in space. We have photos. Hell, if you go high enough in an airplane you can see the curvature.

I understand that the notion of being stuck to the outside of a huge ball hurtling through space held down by nothing but gravity is a scary notion, but this seems like an odd notion to hang on to..

    Flat Earth is a thinly-veiled bible-based argument, in my world. I think if people believe in flat Earth, it somehow confirms the views of the bible as authentic. I don’t know if this is popularly spoken, but I think it’s a big part of this immense scam.
