The joys of self-publishing. Yes, it is book four of The Otherwhere Chronicles, written by yours truly. I have received the very first copy, in order to proofread it, and look for formatting errors and what not.

I couldn’t decide which selfie was best to share for this post, but I have noticed two things already.

There are no page numbers in the book… a glaring oversight…

And I am not as good at taking selfies as I thought I was.

Maybe the publisher didn’t bother with page numbers since they assumed that everyone would finish the book in one read?
Ha… I think Jessica just forgot to add them.
I’m trying to understand more about self-publishing before I jump into that mosh pit. Does the company you’ve been working with require you to do all of that formatting? Page numbering, paragraph spacing, art layout, etc.
Yes, they do. But once you do all that, anyone can order the book to be sent to them. I also order a few copies, and keep them in a box that I bring with me in case I get lucky.
Rock on! But what are page numbers really need for?
Ummm… tradition? And the other three books have them. It seems… lopsided.
Congrats, keep moving forward
Thanks so much.
Great! Bravo! Keep going!
Thanks. I am editing that princess novel, and working on a new children’s book.
Congratulations, Art! No page numbers?! How did they manage to miss that?
Also, the best selfie would have been your hand just holding up the book; or perhaps, photos of the front and back covers of the book. Book only would be better. No offense meant, bro! Just trying to keep it real! 🙂
I think I already posted a picture of the cover by itself. This was just to brag about having a new book published… and because I never get tired of pictures of me. HA!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! I can’t wait to say that I knew you when. 🙂
I can’t wait to say I knew me when.
