23 hours a day sleeping? That only leaves like 1 hour a day to eat and procreate. Although they only have sex to procreate so if none of the ladies are in season who would have to? Are primates the only species to have sex for fun?
Male lions rarely do their own hunting, so that gives them more free time. They just move in on the kill and take the best… aka ‘the lion’s share’…. from the females. I don’t know about the sex for fun thing.
