I met him and his mom and dad down in Oakland at Children’s Fairy Land…
While I was waiting for them to arrive, I was hanging out in the park and one of my crack squirrels made a break for it… disloyal little varmint…
Hey, I told you when I started posting about my adventure to the Bay Area that there would be dragons and fairies and floating cities and… did I mention bubble-blowing elves?
Or a whale so big that Willie wasn’t sure at first if it was a good idea to go inside… because kids are smart that way…
And there were two adorable little burros… or miniature donkeys… or something…
Whatever they were they were cute.
Willie had a great time, and he kept yelling, “Come on, Arfur!” Because kids can’t always pronounce my name correctly and they seem to think that I can fit in places that I really can’t fit into.
And see… there were dragons… although that isn’t actually the dragon I was talking about… that is just a big slide that eats children.
Wait… that picture needs something else…
Yes… it needed a Big Johnny… Willie’s dad… that’s what was missing. Okay, join me later for more pictures of Willie day… or some other weird thing… who knows… I don’t get to decide… that is all up to the crack squirrels.

Willie is still cute, cute, cute!
we are being made his official godparents and godsister this weekend… there will be pictures…
Arfur!! How adorable!! I do not believe that to be one of your crack squirrels, it looks entirely too healthy.
Kids cannot say my name… my own brother called me Arfie.
Wow! Wittle Willie is getting big!
I hate it when that happens
I know they grow up so fast. I guess it’s time for a second one. Ha!
Talk to them… not to me…
Okay. Willie stay wittle
All kids should… Mollie is 16 now… sigh
Wow that means you’re old! Hee hee.
Did you see Lowryder’s launch post?
yes… I will be back… I am painting bathrooms
Ha fun!
oh yeah
Awww what a sweetie, did your squirrel come back or did he totally feral out on ya?
He is now looking for crack on the streets of Oakland… which should be pretty easy to find…
True but from what I recall a good mind is hard to find so he may have a rough go of finding lodgings.
this is also true
Seeing the Willie photos almost makes me wish I had grandkids.
I know what you mean.
So cute – you just make me smile with the stories you tell along with the pictures! I’m in Pittsburgh at a conference, but checking in on blogs when I can.
don’t get in trouble because of me…
No worries! Breaks things up at times.
Just don’t laugh so hard you snort or shoot anything out of your nose
Ha! Thanks for that – just made me laugh again!
careful now…
I was! No worries – I’m back from dinner in my room now and ready to pass out from being at my son’s regatta over the weekend and then having to drive here – so tired, can’t go anywhere else. Pirates are playing tonight and it’s the first home playoff game for the Penguins so the city is busy. I should probably be telling you this offline – I forget when I’m commenting that it’s so public – and wine doesn’t help – hope you have a good night 🙂
you too
So cool that Willie got to play in the park.
He had a pretty good day
