Is anybody else having trouble with replying to comments in the drop down menu up in the right corner??? I am typing replies, and the little blue thing is spinning, but the replies just stay there. I even logged off and back on, and shut the computer down. The replies are still there, typed in the boxes. They aren’t going through.
I don’t need this today. I swear, if WordPress did some new unwanted change that caused this, I am going to be pissed…

I’m not having any trouble but then I’m over a month behind in my reading.
Binge reading might be the ay to go with me
Yes, I exited as it was doing the spinning thing and it had posted replies unlike yours though. Having not posted anything in yonks I am lost o my dashboard, I can’t even see the dashboard. Why do they tinker so? WHY!!!
Revolution!!!
Yep this is the problem I began having last night, and still having it this morning, but I saw someone in your comments mentioned hitting the refresh button, so, I’ll give that a try later if it’s still dodgy.
It didn’t fix my problem
I didn’t try, but they’re working now anyway
…ooo000ooo…
These days, I blame everything on ISIS…No doubt this is their fault :)!
This is #2
Your comments section has been taken over by hackers 🙂 I posted the first and didn’t see it, so posted again…For some reason the post goes to the top of all comments instead of the bottom????? Never have seen that before.
Just my luck
These days, I blame everything on ISIS….No doubt this too is their fault :)!
Ha… I got two of these… this is #1
I’ve had the same problem and when hitting the “Like” button there’s a delayed response. Sigh! I wish WP would just leave well enough alone!
they make me mad
It does get frustrating.
it does
Also, if you hit refresh on your browser while the blue thingy is spinning the comment will post to the blog
ooooh… I haven’t tried that yet
If you get this comment, that means it worked
did you get this one?
Yeppers it worked
…ooo000ooo…
I had that problem a couple times while I was at my office, I gave up and waited till I got home
but I am home…
The problem has apparently followed me home, darn briefcase is a sure hideaway for “issues”
we might have to have another revolution
Wellll I’m having to do two revolutions for each comment
that’s the spirit
I used to have that problem with the old drop down box. The best solution I can find is this:
1- Go to the stats page
2- Click on “WP Admin” on the left
3- Click on “Comments” on the left
4- You can reply to comments from there.
There used to be a different window for comments that I can’t find any more. Hopefully this other page (from the old WP interface, not the new) will be as useful as the one I used to use.
I am doing that now… but it is more confusing
I haven’t had that problem, but earlier today, when I was editing a post I was about to send, my return key didn’t work. Yet it worked on other applications. Even when I shut down WordPress and then went back to that draft post to try to edit it, my return key still didn’t work. I had to delete the whole damn post and start a brand new one for my goddam return key to work. WFT, WordPress?

Yes, I agree with what Eagle-Eyed Editor said above. The comments appear — but they don’t get out of the little bubbles. stupid.
I will try looking into where they are and aren’t going later
I don’t know. Why don’t you leave a comment on one of my posts, and then I’ll try to respond. (Plus, I’ll get an extra view for today – woo-hoo).
I can go to people’s posts and reply, I just cant use my own notification menu to do it
Yes, it’s happening to me too. But my answers to readers’ comments have made it into the blog post.
I don’t think they are going to other people’s posts…
I won’t use that thingie. Ugly. No thank you!
wait… which thing???
which thing is that???
The NEW notification thingie THE BELL that you don’t like either. UH UH! I LIKE my regualr notifications. 🙂
now these are out of order… don’t know what I answered
ROFLMAO!!!! OH DEAR HEAVENS!!! This is SO FUNNY! Please laugh!!! YOU NEED A GOOD LAUGH!!!!! 😀
Or a bad laugh…
A bad laugh is better then no laugh. Yes?
That is a good point
