I have nothing to add. I thought I did, but now that I read the comments, I lost it. What cute little terrorists? I liked Doobster’s picture too. V.i.c.i.o.u.s. the’re vicious oh yes! (see that? I was a cheerleader a long, long time ago)

They are adorable. So are bears and wildcats. There were occasional badger sightings near where I lived in Switzerland. And they, unlike you and I, do not like dogs!

How about a honey badger? I thnk the name is cute. i looked it up on Wiki and I couldn’t believe it – those little bastards are mean, mean, mean, and are built to fight. Their skin is very thick and almost impossible to bite through. The head is pointed and the skull is one piece for strength. A honey badger has enormous mobility within its own skin – so if a predator grabs it by the throat, not only will the teeth not penetrate, but the badger can turn inside its own skin and attack the predator. It has visciously sharp and ,long claws on all paws and can kill an attacker or dig itself a burrow inside of 10 minutes. Nothing bothers it – in fact scientists think that cheetah kittens are patterned to look like honey badgers so no animal will bother them. Honey badgers will attack and drive off lions in Africa. They have a scent gland similar to a skunk that makes them stink so bad. It appears that this scent is used by the badgers to disorient bees when they raid the hives for honey.

I always thought badgers were cute too – but no so much now. I’m glad we don’t have too many if any here in Canada.

How do so many people know what a badger smells like? Maybe they actually have a lovely sweet smell like spring time and fresh air but they got the rep for stinking only because they are so mean? I mean the only way to get close enough to a badger to get a nice noseful is after it’s dead and since all critters stink when they’re dead, welllll I’m just sayin’ it may not be true that the live ones are “stanky”.

Just the other day a blogger said she was dubbing me “Badger” because I have made a few badges for other bloggers. I told her I wasn’t pleased to be dubbed “Badger.” So she reluctantly agreed to change it to “BadgeMaster.” I think what might have swayed her was this image of a very lovable badger:
