The contest is still going on. And the best thing about this art contest is that you don’t really need to be an artist. It is a little like rap music… you don’t actually have to be able to sing to be a vocalist. You just need to be creative.
The rules are simple. You have to do something using either the name of my blog, or a picture from my blog… preferably one of me… like that one up there on the top bar of my iconic sunglasses… or I can even email you some pictures of my gorgeous head if you want me to… and then go crazy. I have already offered suggestions. Here are a few of the ones I liked best:
Get a skywriter to write ‘pouringmyartout’ in the sky and then take a picture and send it to me.
Shave the name of my blog on the side of your cat… or your husband’s hairy back… and then take a picture and send it to me.
Paint a picture of my sunglasses… on the ceiling of your house… with spaghetti sauce… and then take a picture and send it to me.
Write the name of my blog on your stomach with duct tape, then get a bad sunburn, remove the tape, take a picture, and send it to me.
Mow the name of my blog into your lawn, take a photo, and send it to me.
Print a big copy of my face, then cut it out, wear it as a mask, and take a photo and send it to me.
Or make me a video… tell me why you love my blog… write me a poem… (somebody did that already and it was awesome)… paint me a picture… do something in Photoshop… I don’t care what it is as long as it is all about me!!!

Well how about the local pub for a pint? Hey, you could print a picture of the cover of one of my books, and hold it to the camera so it looks like you have the whole book, and brought it to the pub.
I have an idea, leaving copies of your book in different pubs across London. It happened with Hunger Games books last month, 300 copies were scattered about tube stations. As if it that needs more publicity.
If I had money I could come with all kinds of marketing ideas…
