I mean, I guess it could be some sort of giant mutant one-tentacled jellyfish.
I saw this at the dog beach when I went there with my daughter Mollie. No, not yesterday when I took the pictures of all the dogs. This is an older picture that has been sitting on my cell phone.
I have seen some weird sea creatures in my time, and I watch a lot of nature shows on TV. I travel a lot. I go to aquariums. I see a lot of beaches. But I have never seen anything quite like this.
It was actually a very pretty purple color and seemed to almost glow from the inside. So if it isn’t a sea monster, I guess it must be an alien.

Did you find out if it stings like other jelly fish?
No, but I would stay away from it no matter what.
https://www.flickr.com/photos/crook_inc/4859488966/ They are called black sea nettle jellyfish and apparently are fairly rare to find. So wow art!
Hey wow… that does look like it… thanks.
I was curious…
My husband laughs because I google everything.
I keep forgetting we can do that now, but I like the mysteries of life.
My vote is for alien. It definitely looks like it is not of this world. It could be alien royalty if it is purple.
Oh, this just made me think of the Purple People Eater but I don’t know why.
I wouldn’t even know where to look for a mouth. And I am not sure if those glowing lumps on top are eyes or not.
Seaweed monster, n’est pas?
But it was not a plant at all, I am pretty sure.
Okay. Not a plant. What in the world is it?
that is the question… despite what Shakespeare says…
Not only is it an alien, it’s likely an illegal alien. Better deport it.
we got that covered
It’s a sea alien.
sweet
a sealien… all one word… obviously
Perhaps?
I doubt it.
harumph.
ha
ho
who you callin’ a ho?

I think it was eyeing you Art, to see if you’d make a good lunch. You’d be the dog and it the sea liion . Careful my friend don’t get too close.
It didn’t seem to be very fast… in fact… it just sort of drifted… I think I and outrun it… on land…
