The first one started yesterday… the rest all popped up today… all over San Diego… all around my house…
They all started small… you know… like fires do…
But they all spread. A couple of them were put out before they got too big. But homes have been lost, and thousands of acres burned. Some of them are still growing.
The air is full of smoke… you can taste it and smell it and feel your eyes burning. Fires are nothing new to San Diego…
But this many fires, starting in this many places in this short of a time span?
It is starting to seem a little suspicious…
I don’t know if this is a terrorist thing… or just one sick asshole…
But I hope they catch whoever it is.

I didn’t realize this was the result of intentional fire starting. There are no words to accurately describe the kind of being who would do that.

We live in a canyon, so I can relate to yearly fire scares. That’s WAY too many fires to be coincidental. Amazing how they will track the culprit down though. Those fire investigators are bloodhounds. Stay safe!

My Aunt lives in Vista, last night she said there were six fires within a mile of her house. I can’t imagine how scary it must be… Isn’t it unusually hot there as well for this time of year?

I always thought these fires started from the ground being dry and dead plants and weeds that the sun ignites. Either way it’s scary. Stay safe.
They often start because of cars backfiring, or careless smokers or campers. Not spontaneous combustion. But these started one after the other all over the county in a big circle.
Shiiiiit, is it just really hot or likely to be arson?
