Our second honeymoon started like most trips do… with an airplane ride.
I wasn’t planning on spending so much time on this romantic getaway drinking… but I did… and I started early… because the flight was bumpy.
And then, there it was, the island of Maui…
I have to admit that of all the things there are to see on a tropical island, I was most excited to see the jungle… and the waterfalls… and oh boy, did we see a lot of those.
But of course, like with everything I do, things got a little weird right from the beginning.
Unfortunately, you will have to wait until tomorrow to hear about that.

Always drink on the flight, you’ve paid for it, and it gives the attendants good exercise going back and forth for my Bloody Mary. At least they won’t get deep vein thrombosis.

I am finally deciding on my USA trip. I have less vacation days than planned so scrapping the coast drive idea, and two friends also not coming now so that will be a future trip. My other half is waiting on his friend in Palm Springs to check her diary for when we can visit so we can plan the rest of our time around that. We’re flying to San Deigo though, he says LAX is a nightmare so doesn’t want to fly in there. Looking to be early October at the moment. I’ll keep you posted.

Where is a good area to stay in San Diego? Looking to rent a car too as I guess you drive everywhere over there 😉
I will be there start and end of my trip so will look at different places, maybe won arrival somewhere a bit more happening for going out and at the end maybe somewhere more sedate and chilled by the beach. I don’t like hotels so looking at areas on Airbnb. You’ll get your travel agent commission.
Start e-searching Mission Beach… good place to relax and party. I have no idea what Airbnb is… oh… wait… bread and breakfast? I know we have those in the mountain towns. San Diego is more of a vacation rental, but that is going to be expensive.
It’s a site where people market their spare rooms or whole houses for rent for vacations.
I must be used to London prices, I looked at some and they were great prices. I need to be in San Diego for the weekend of the 10th October as I’m gonna go to the tattoo convention. And need to be there on a Wednesday at some point as I wanna see a drag show starring Chad Michaels who I loved from Rupauls Drag Race who is at a bar called Mo’s every Wednesday. Your airport is bang in town, love that, so handy. I think I’ll rent in a couple of places in San Diego to get a different vibe, then I am heading up to Palm Springs for a while to see some friends. To quite Ina Garten “It’s gonna be a lot of fun”

Most definately, for a couple years at least. I am not sure if I would get claustraphobic stuck on the islands… Maybe not, I don’t travel too far in my daily romps here… And of course if I had the $$$…..
