Not long after we saw the helicopter on the freeway, we got to the top of the Grapevine, the pass through the mountain range just North of Los Angeles…
At the top of the mountain, we drove right into a rain cloud.
It was like driving in fog… really thick fog… really thick, wet fog.

I bet that was more rain than you usually see in a month!
now adays, yes
What was I just saying about blue skies π
HA!
ugh. the Grapevine. I do not miss it.
Driving through LA sucks
yeah, it does. So does LA itself. That’s one reason I don’t live there anymore.
It scares me…
It didn’t scare me. It mad me angry. I was a very angry Gringa…
It makes me that too
You still up there?
nope
I was so angry I started leaving the ‘e’ of made…
uh…
and the ‘f’ off off
ha!
I would rather drive through a blizzard than fog. Fog lulls me to sleep.
really? the fear keeps me awake…
I like heavy rain and fog, peaceful in many ways.
I love walking in fog more than driving in it
Yeah driving in it is probably not the best.
Especially at 70 MPH
lol, yeah, I remember once, many years ago I went to a place called Peterborough, the fog was so thick I could barely see more than a car length in from of me. I was doing 25 mph.
But if you slow down you get hit from behind…
big bright red fog lights on.
That works up to a point
Take care out there, my man.
I did.
I sense some fogginess here.
I have it in my head too…
hmmm that could splain the sense..
yup
Driving on ice is the only element worse than driving in fog. Glad you made it to your destination.
Thanks…
Of course.
yup
K
.
That’s good right? Don’t you guys need the rain?
We do… but from above, not beside…
π
yup
Ugh. Reminds me of driving that long-ass bridge to the Keys one trip to Florida. Monsoon rains. Couldn’t even see the guardraila on the bridge. It looked like we were driving on the water. I think I screamed at hubby to slow down the entire drive.
Been there, done that… I mean, not in Florida… but…
