My new children’s book is a smash hit. There is this really nice guy who goes to my wife’s church. He is a school teacher. He teaches first graders. He heard about the book and borrowed a copy to read to his class. They loved it! Now all the other teachers are reading it to their classes. Even the teachers like it. They say it starts interesting conversations about how people like different things and how our imaginations work. Which is exactly what it was designed to do.
And there is a rumor that our friend videotaped the first class reading, so if I can get a copy of that, and I am smart enough to figure out how to post it on the blog, I will share that with you.

Good for you!!!
Thanks.
It’s too bad, they aren’t buying more copies of the book so you get royalties instead of just passing it around & loving it!
Gotta start somewhere.
That’s brilliant news. You could upload it to youtube and then add it from “Add Media” … “Add YouTube”
I just found out that legally he can’t film his students…
Ahhh. Fair enough then.
I am so bummed
Very cool!!
thanks
Woohoo! That’s great monkey news!
yes it is
YOU rock, sir!! Holy shiz!!
Please forgive my ignorance – I’m late to the p(art)y: which book? I’m assuming “I Like Monkeys”? Seriously, it’s hard to write a book, let alone get one published. Let alone have people read and like it. If I knew where you lived, I would totally send a marching band to your house!
My older daughter was in marching band… we went on a trip to Europe with them… I have pictures down there somewhere. And you know these are all self published, right? I don’t have a publisher, I… or my daughter actually, just send them to a place that prints books. I have no marketing firm behind me… yet… but thanks.
So, does being self published take away from the huge accomplishment of having actually completed a book?
(s)?
My congratulations stand! As does my You rock!
Well, it might be a little like saying you are a movie star because you were in some home movies… but thanks again.
That’s awesome you should do a book signing!
It is only a matter of time
