… You all get a little bored with my photos of the Bay Area. But I like doing these posts for two reasons. I get to relive my little adventure. And more importantly, I sort of use WordPress as a remote storage unit for my pictures. If my computer dies… or if one of you ungrateful people sneak into my house the next time I go on a trip and steals it… I can just go through all my old posts and copy the pictures back to my new computer.
Besides, San Francisco never gets old…
My friend Andy and I took a little day trip and drove out to Treasure Island in the middle of the Oakland Bay bridge. That is the bridge that they are building the new replacement bridge right beside of. It has been in the news lately because to save money, they ordered all the steel from China, and they have discovered flaws in the metal, so it might just fall into the bay before too long. I have a crazy idea. Don’t buy bridge steel… or toilet paper… from the lowest bidder.
I know, you have seen pictures from Treasure Island before. Deal with it…
Ahhh… I remember the good old days. When we made bridges from real American steel…
On the way home we walked to the top of Albany hill. Albany hill is famous all over the world… for being slightly taller than the rest of Albany…

Love looking at water, I could do it all day & all night (when I can’t fall asleep)
Water… you gotta love it.
We all like falling in love, it’s nice because everyone is pretending that they don’t have any annoying habits or ridiculous demands. Here, have a nice slap to wake yourself up and get you back to reality. Where is “pft”, wait until she getsaloadathis!
We are going to get well and truley pft’d…
My friend was out there for work for 10 months, loves it so much and fell in love with a boy there that she wants to stay.
You should try that… just sayin’…
Yes, I’d like to fall in love. (I’m safe, my partner doesn’t blog)
We all wish for something. I like the falling in love part more than the being in love part.
You lothario
I am a romantic despite what some might say.
You should come check out the Brooklyn Bridge.
First round’s on me if you do.
I would love to do that… how big is your couch?
Well if we’re comparing bridges…..on second thoughts I’ll stay out of that debate, the ones over the Thames are a bit short
I love your bridges… they have history… and good materials… and nice views… and they are close to pubs… and crawling with English people…
But no pubs on the bridges, major fail London
Charles Bridge in Prague is one of my favourites, we lurched across it doing Tina Turner fromher simply the best video, strutting across. The beer there is very strong and very cheap.
But you have a big clock so you know when the pubs close.
Exactly why I don’t drink in Westminster, they have archaic licensing laws. Tourists must be dismayed by being kicked out of a pub at 11pm. Each council has different laws, I’m in Camden which means I can drink until I feel like stopping (most of the time) But Camden stretches down to Covent Garden too so you could be on the border of two boroughs, so walking a street away to a pub in the right borough could see your drinking time extended. It may have changed now such is the length of time since I drank there late, I do like to be within crawling distance of my front door
It pays to be preparred for the worst. preppared? prrepparred?
Big clock… I’m glad I spelled that one right… ha!
😀
sigh
They’re beautiful and very artistic photos. Don’t ever be afraid to share them! Hey I’m from Australia, these have a lovely familiarity about them but are by no means boring. Jen
Thanks. It is a win/win situation.
Beautiful pics. San Francisco looks amazing!
Thanks. Everyone should go there at least once.
Hey as long as I am on the other coast, your photos/perspective are appreciated!
Thanks. I love the other coast also, but I didn’t grow up there… so…
