I just sent Jessica the first whole draft of the first part of the novel.
That is my extremely funny science fiction novel, if you haven’t been following along.
I don’t know how long it will take her to format it, but we are getting close to publishing.

Oh, the anticipation and suspense of it all!
I know.
Why are you awake so early?
My hips have been hurting. I hope it isn’t arthritis… sigh
This is what happens. My husband and I are shocked and appalled that it is happening all at once. We are OPPOSED to the whole thing.
Sometimes one of my hips hurts too. It might help to put some pillows between your knees, if you’re a side sleeper, because it takes pressure off and keeps your body in better alignment.
No matter how old you are, you’ll always be cool.
I do sort of feel like I am falling apart.
Congrats on getting to this point – I hope everything goes swimmingly!
I am doing the breast stroke right now… ha!
Where are you publishing through? Smashwords and Amazon? It will take her longer to figure out it’s not too difficult to format than the actual formatting. If she has the time she can easily finish it by today if formatting is all that needs to be done. Unless you were really all over the place. Then you owe her a really nice birthday present this year.
Ten percent… she gets ten percent…
You’re publishing the big book in pieces right? How long are they? If I may make a suggestion I would add as many free short stories that take place within this world. People may fall in love with the short 5,000-10,000 word short spinoff stories then want to read something longer. Never hurts to write more and get more exposure.
The four parts are only about 100 pages each, without the race and character notes and prologue and pictures…
I’m guessing that’s around 50,000 words? That’s a good amount to break it up in. I still think you should write really short tales too and put them up for free or 99 cents just to get some attention.
I might just have to do that then.
And good luck to you!
